Behind the wheel of his Walkabout Barber bus, Brian’s on a journey to visit communities and towns where the nearest hairdresser is sometimes a two hour drive away!

But this is more than just a story about cutting hair.

Brian’s a proud Gamilaraay man from the Central West of NSW, with an Indigenous family connection to country going back thousands of years. He’s also a former professional Rugby League player who’s seen his fair share of life’s ups and downs.

Now as a qualified therapist, he’s combining his hairdressing skills with psychological and spiritual healing, to help those facing personal challenges in the Australian bush.

Lune Media is proud to have partnered with Brian Dowd and the Walkabout Barber crew for the launch of the Walkabout Barber bus, as their journey began into the heart and soul of this spectacular country.
